ESPON 2013 Project Overview
ESPON published its Project Overview which presents the ongoing projects by October 2010. The Overview presents for each priority of the ESPON 2013 Programme some key facts on ongoing projects as well as a glimpse of our intentions in the near future.
The ESPON Project Overview will be updated in autumn 2011 and in 2012 when all larger projects are contracted and in the process of implementation. Download the Project Overview at the ESPON Website.
The Project Overview presents for each priority of the ESPON 2013 Programme some key facts on ongoing projects as well as a glimpse of our intentions in the near future:
– Priority 1 comprises of 15 contracted Applied Research Projects that do cross-thematic and thematic analyses that provide evidence on European territorial trends, perspectives and policy impacts. The Programme is currently developing around 10 additional projects that should see the light in 2011.
– Priority 2 includes 8 contracted Targeted Analysis Projects that carry out tailor-made analyses based on stakeholder demand. An additional 10 projects are expected to be contracted late 2010 and early 2011 and again 4-5 projects will be subject of the new calls.
– Priority 3 comprehends 4 contracted Scientific Platform and Analytical Tools Projects that represent a core element of the ESPON knowledge base for preparing territorial policies. Two new projects shall extent the scientific platform in 2011.
– Priority 4 includes 2 Transnational Networking Activities Projects that add up to the transnational capitalisation and awareness-raising of ESPON results. The number of contracted projects shall be extended in 2011.
